Dr. George Heathcote, Chiropractor

Dr. Heathcote resides in Solon with his wife and 4 children. He has been a practicing chiropractor since 1989. He has been in Chagrin Falls since 2002. He received his degrees from Los Angeles Chiropractic School (LACC) in California and Farleigh Dickenson University in New Jersey. He received advanced degrees in Applied Kinesiology from LACC and became a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician from National College of Chiropractic in Chicago, Illinois.

Dr. Heathcote's first started thinking about becoming a chiropractor in High School when he was involved in a car accident and went to a chiropractor for a whiplash injury. He responded positively to the treatment for whiplash and noticed that his asthma symptoms disappeared. His Chiropractor helped him become completely free of his asthma medication and has been asthma free ever since. "This was my first introduction to the healing power of the human body and Chiropractic's ability to assist the body become disease free."

Besides his obvious passion for Chiropractic, Dr. Heathcote loves spending time with his family and with four very active children. Between the many sports and other activities the kids are involved in, there is always something to keep him busy.

Dr. Grant Sanders, Chiropractor

Dr. Sanders is from Kirtland, Ohio, and specializes in the treatment of athletes. His undergraduate coursework in exercise science was completed at Baldwin Wallace University, where he graduated Cum Laude. His Doctor of Chiropractic degree is from New York Chiropractic College, where he received the Libero A. Violini Distinguished Service award for outstanding patient care. Continuing his education in the field of health and fitness, Dr. Sanders then earned a PhD in Exercise Science with a concentration in Exercise Physiology from the University of Kentucky, where he also worked as a teaching assistant and graduate assistant while conducting research on the neuromuscular effects of spinal adjustments. Additionally, he is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). Dr. Sanders has also served as a guest lecturer in a number of different venues including Cuyahoga Community College as well as having presented sports workshops, most notably for golf-specific conditioning at the Westwood Country Club in Rocky River.

Time off for Dr. Sanders is at a premium, so he stays with the activities he enjoys the most. Music has always been an important part of his life; he was the trumpet section leader all four years of high school, and has recently taken up guitar. Dr. Sanders also has a background in several athletic activities, including team Tough Mudder competitions. He maintains a regular workout regimen, and is an active member of The Chagrin Valley Chamber of Commerce and Jaycees. Chagrin Falls has been a special place to Dr. Sanders since he was young, and he is pleased to now be a resident and part of the community.

His favorite aspect of practice is designing exercise and nutrition programs for individuals as well as sports teams, and he can help you build strength and endurance to achieve your personal goals.

Dr. Mary Bolton, Podiatrist

Dr. Bolton resides in Aurora and is our Chagrin Falls Podiatrist. She graduated from the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine in 1989. She participated in private practice in Kentucky for twenty-five years.

Dr. Bolton provides conservative therapy for foot and ankle problems; treating ingrown toenails, bunions, warts, heel pain and sports related injuries.

Marcus Himmelright, Massage Therapist

Marcus has been practicing massage therapy since August 2011 when he received his state medical board license in massage therapy. He has been providing deep tissue therapeutic massage through the Active Chiropractic office since March 2013. He has an intelligent, healing touch that helps patients get back on the road to recovery and wellness. Marcus is very passionate about helping people and loves to educate and inform patients of the many benefits of massage.

Marcus lives on the border of Grand River and Painesville with his wife Valerie and their two cats.

Kathy, Office Manager

Kathy has been with Active Chiropractic since March, 2007, and she is currently our Office Manager. She grew up in Mayfield Heights and attended St. Francis of Assisi grade school, Notre Dame Academy and John Carroll University. Kathy currently lives in Twinsburg with her husband and three children. The entire family receives chiropractic care regularly and has also benefited from Standard Process nutritional supplements.

Chris

Chris joined the Active Team in May 2008.

Chris grew up in Michigan and attended Lake Superior State University where she met her college sweetheart Dennis. After living on the east coast for 7 years they moved to Ohio in 1993. They have 2 married sons and one granddaughter.

Chris is a firm believer in chiropractic care and it has been a part of her family's life for over 35 years. She is particularly interested in the benefits of chiropractic in combination with nutritional supplements to optimize health. Working here allows her the privilege of seeing others benefit from everything chiropractic has to offer.

Keely

Keely has been with us since September 2015. She starting seeing a chiropractor when she herniated her disc in 2003. She strongly believes in the benefits she has experienced from regular adjustments. She is always happy to share her story because she doesn't want to see people go through the pain she experienced.

Keely and her family moved from Lakewood to Auburn in 2015. She and her husband have two boys who keep her very busy when she is not working!
